We’ve got you.
As educators and consultants, we’ve worked with hundreds of photographers over the years and truly believe that a long-term mentorship is a total game-changer. A mentorship of this depth will have an extensive impact on your photography and the infrastructure that supports your creative work. With the All-Access Mentorship, you are in the driver’s seat, but your mentors are there to strategize with you, provide honest feedback, and set you up with realistic goals and an action plan moving forward. The focus of the mentorship is up to you, whether it’s expanding your technical know-how and increasing your confidence or working towards a larger project, such as a book, print sales, an exhibit or running your first workshop.
A full year of mentorship will allow us to cover a lot of ground, and account for the various factors that need to come together to help you achieve your vision.
Why us?
For the past 15 years, Paul and Meghan have worked in tandem to build Paul Zizka Photography into one of Canada’s leading landscape, astro and adventure photography businesses. Our client list now includes leading national and global brands, such as Canon, Apple, and the NHL. In addition to eight photo books, Paul’s images have been published in National Geographic, Globe and Mail, Wall Street Journal, Alpinist, Maclean’s, Canadian Geographic and countless others. They’ve graced the covers of books and magazines, and been licensed for advertisements as big as billboards. We’ve sold nearly 1,000 limited-edition prints (never more than 50 of any image) to clients around the world. Paul’s work has also received global recognition with awards from such competitions as the Telluride Photo Festival, CVCE International Photo Contest, Western Magazine Awards, Alberta Magazine Awards, and Banff Centre Mountain Book Competition.
That might be where we are now, but it’s been a journey. One thing we’ve learned is that a creative venture is all about evolution. Paul’s signature style was developed after much experimentation and discipline. Together, we have also built the business from the ground up, and have learned — by trial and error, plenty of mistakes, and some big wins — what works and what doesn’t. And whether or not you’re interested in monetizing your images, the mentorship can help shape your artistic vision and establish a process of sharing your images with the world. What’s more, we understand the challenges of living a creatively fuelled life while running a business and raising a family. We can provide insight that is both realistic and motivating.
